Andrew Peklo III - Architect/Joiner
Member, American Institute of Architects

I offer Architectural Design services and Fine Woodworking joinery. My objective is to create timeless architecture and furniture. Educated as an Industrial Designer and licensed as an Architect, I can create unique solutions that blend good design and construction from the past with original thought.

New Construction • Additions • Alterations • Adaptive Reuse
My Architectural practice specializes in the design of residential and office projects for the person who sees his or her environment as a personal reflection. Life cycle costing and contextuality are encouraged.

Tables • Chairs • Beds • Doors • Desks • Cabinets • Paneling
My Joinery services specialize in solid wood construction. Working closely with you, I will design an item and then personally build it. You may choose from a variety of domestic and imported hardwoods, such as Walnut, Curly Maple, Cherry, Mahogany, Teak, or Imbuia.

Other materials including leather, marble, glass, brass, and ceramic tile may be incorporated in the designs to complement these fine woods and/or meet specific functional requirements. All furniture is built using such traditional methods of construction as mortise and tenon and dove tails, with an emphasis on hand work. Careful attention is given to every detail, and each piece is hand rubbed with a fine oil finish. My studio and showroom are located in the historic Mill at Pomperaug on the Pomperaug River. Come for a visit to discuss your Architectural and/or Joinery project, in an environment conducive to an appreciation of the timeless qualities I offer in my work. Open by appointment or chance.
